Is Amazon methodically wrecking Google Apps?
Now Google Docs, Sheets, and Keep are all crashing when opened up. They haven't wrecked Chrome yet but I expect that may be coming. I already had to find 2 other Clients for Gmail and Calendar. They are making this tablet far less useful to me as time goes on. It is the current Fire HD 8 tablet.

What happened to all my books? had been reading on my kindle with Calibre for ~ 3 or 4 years, suddelny my entire collection is gone (except what was purchased through kindle)
Few things. Fire HD 8 is not a kindle. So your title is wrong. Secondly yes it is a black and white e ink screen. I was simply providing what I did to get out of the Amazon echo system. Lastly amazon devices have been having issues with side loaded ebooks. This is a known issue. Head over to mobile

Kids Fire HD 8 (12th Gen) closes apps opened from RocketApps
This just started a few days ago on one of my Kids Fire tablets. Basically any app I open in RocketApps including the standard "Settings" app closes after 30-45 seconds. I've tried uninstalling apps, rebooting, even resetting the tablet to factory settings and reinstalling everything. I haven't e

Problem Adverts - Lack of Controls or a virus from the Amazon Store?
I bought an "Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet (newest gen), 8" HD Display, 3 GB memory, 32 GB, designed for portable entertainment, Hibiscus, (2024 release) – with ads" for my 8-year-old Child to use. She has been installing games from the Amazon App Store, but recently complained that the games get "Glitche

Looking for ads, strangely enough
Okay guys, I play on a Fire HD 8. All the options for watching an ad fail. It just for a fraction of a second puts up a message the it is looking for an ad, then it just reverts to the same screen I had up before requesting the ad. I really want to see the ads for the rewards. Anyone know if it

Is It possible to root 12th gen fire tablets now?
Hello, I got a fire HD 8 not too long ago. The fire OS is filled with bloatware and ads, and I came to find out if its possible to root it so that I can install a new OS. I've done some research but all that I get are post from 2-3 years ago saying that it isn't possible. I came to find out if its s

2024 Kindle HD 8 (4gb) or 2023 Amazon Fire Max 11 (4gb)
Yeah, the newer kindle fire tablets seem to be ahead of the old ones. The Max 11 looks to be just a better device all around. I have a Fire HD 8 from a few years ago and it’s honestly super slow compared to what’s out now from the reviews I have seen. Also, some apps just won’t work on the older Fir

Plex Sync is depressingly shite
I just spent the last few days desperately trying to get Plex to sync all my boys Fireman Sam episodes to his Fire HD 8 tablet. He has many hours on an aeroplane to look forward to.. now likely to be just a little worse.
I know the sync problems aren't new, I've tried all the workarounds I found in

Getting photos and videos off of Kids' Fire
My granddaughter has a Fire HD 8 Kids' Edition, and she's taken a lot of photos and videos. I'd like to copy some of them off, because they're adorable. This doesn't seem possible, which I find crazy. I've seen a couple other posts on this, but no replies.
