I tested GeForce NOW across different devices for science
The devices I tested are: A Kindle fire HD 8' (some mediatek (1.8ghz) quad core 1.5gb's of ram)
A LG rebel (1st Gen) (a snapdragon 210 1gb of ram)
A LG G7 Thinq (snapdragon 845 4gb's of ram)
And a Moto e5 play (snapdragon 427 2gb's of ram) Last of the Android devices (for now, I plan to test it o

Which tablet for moonlight
I can’t say I have too many android tablets to test with so take my experience for what it is, but I’ve found that an iPad mini is far and away better than Android tablets for game streaming. Both PxPlay and Moonlight. I’ve tested with what I have, which is an ONN branded Android 14 8” (2024) tablet

Amazon deliberately making old units obsolete?
On 2-27-26, an update to the Prime Video App (version firetablet.436.3350.001 [436335010] ) was deployed. It broke the full-screen mode on my Kindle Fire HD 8 tablet for ALL Amazon Prime movies. It was working perfectly fine until a few hours before the deployment of this update. After the Prime Vid

Sell or keep devices?
Has anyone reduced their devices to force themselves to build better habits, or have you been able to successfully reduce time on your existing gadgets? I have the following devices: Samsung phone, S8 tablet, galaxy watch 4, plus a laptop, Fire HD 8 and Kindle. All for personal use. I have a sep

Best tablet for comics on Kindle app?
I have a Fire HD 8 which worked well until the Comixology app died. The Kindle app is sometimes fine, but currently it is hit or miss on if it will even download a comic, and often when I open a downloaded comic, it shows the cover, but the rest of the pages are blank. Apparently when a book shows a

Any NVIDIA Shield K1 users?
I had an NVIDIA Shield K1 back when I was like, 16. I'm looking to replace a shite Kindle Fire HD 8 that lags like crazy and has a poor screen. I know the Shield is pretty old now, but I'm wondering how it does with Lineage (Android 9/10 maybe?)
Not for gaming, not for any high end tasks honestly,

Android tablet fast enough for Code Lab?
Code Lab works great on my Pixel 7 Pro, but the screen is small. On the other hand when we tried it on my 2018 Fire HD 8 tablet, not only was there lag while dragging, there was a ton of lag while running the program. I'm curious what Android tablets people find work for Code Lab when no lag? The id

Get rid of "Register your device..."
I just got a new Fire HD 8, and used the Fire Toolbox to install the Play Store (and I'll probably be using to hide some of the Amazon apps), but I've got the "Register your device" coming up on the Home Screen, taking up half the screen so there's not much room for the app icons I want.
Is there a

Fire HD 8 user here- game locked at 40fps
When I lock the framerate to 30fps then back to 60, the game runs at 60fps until I open up my inventory.
After opening the inventory, the game locks to 40fps and stays there until I lock and unlock the framerate mentally again.
Same problem no matter what graphics settings are applied. Any fix?

IPad Mini 7 First Impressions
A couple of years ago, I bought an Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet to use as an ereader. It's a good size for that, with a size that's in between my aging Samsung Tab A tablet and my Pixel 8 Pro. But it hasn't been a happy experience as Amazon's forked version of Android and the tablet's slow processor mak
