Tablet for a 3.5 year old?
If it’s just for a 3.5-year-old, I wouldn’t overthink it too much — durability, simplicity, and parental controls matter more than raw performance. The cheap Pritom will work, but they’re usually slow and can get frustrating quickly, even for kids. You might end up replacing it sooner than you expec

Don’t go PRITOM. it’s the kind of thing you regret after a few months. The Fire HD 8 Kids Pro is the smartest buy here. It’s not too expensive, does everything you need, and will last long enough without being overkill. The HD 10 only makes sense if you know it’ll be used heavily for years.

What’s the cheapest thing you own that just refuses to break?
My kids' Fire tablets. I keep hoping they will die.... Going on 6 YEARS with those things and I'd like to upgrade but we only replace stuff when it breaks. They've both aged out of the Amazon Kids library but do still enjoy some of the games. 🤷♀️
