I simply want to proudly showcase my Home Assistant journey and inspire other people to jump onto Home Assistant because it's fun and doesn't always have to be expensive.
It all started with the questions:
How can I heat my rooms with minimal effort?
and
How do I control humidity?
(which

I definitely prefer reading digitally. I currently use a Fire HD 10 and you need to side load the apps to get them on there, but it generally works well especially for the price. Occasionally I’ll have an issue with a page not loading…. But everything looks good. I’ll probably go back to an iPad whe

Pretty simple to get going with fire toolbox, installing Play Store and getting FullyKiosk.
Forgive the sparse dashboard, I'm playing around with what I want to show on this one.
Used 3M strips for the 3d printed rail holders.

Mainly looking for software-side suggestions. I upgraded my unusably slow Fire HD 10 (2021 release) to a Lenovo M10.
I uninstalled and disabled many applications, but I’m curious to see what else I could do to make sure Fully Kiosk is running as smoothly as possible. It’s definitely running better

I've done a few wall mounted Fire HD 10's for HomeAssistant, and they're fine for basic dashboards. They don't do terribly well with streaming videos or security cameras, but are passable. I do suggest using FullyKiosk in general, and using a ZigBee or ZWave motion sensor to turn the tablet screen o

I read on a Fire HD 10; there's probably better tablets out there but I happened to get this on a dirt cheap sale. I just rotate it to horizontal when I'm reading a spread, which is still a bit smaller than is ideal but a bit of pinch and zoom for detailed stuff usually works fine.
