Tablet for Toddler for Long Car Rides [on]

I actually really like the Amazon one. We have the fire 10 for little kids and have the parent app, we are able to see what apps she has opened how much time was on it, set up daily screen times and disable it from our phone, once it’s all set up most things work off of wifi, with Netflix or Disney

iPad vs fire thing?

Fire tablet 100%. They are so much cheaper and are fine for streaming. Also a new one that’s a kids version usually includes a temporary free subscription to the Amazon kids library or apps. I’m personally and Apple person for myself but 100% prefer the Fire for my kids.

Tablet for Toddler for Long Car Rides [on]

We have the Amazon fire tablet. It goes on sale fairly often and works well for this purpose. We have it in a case that feels secure and use rock climbing carabiners to attach it to the head rest. It's not going to be passing any safety tests or anything but it seems a bit safer than just being loos

What do y'all really need an iPad for?

I think we introduced a tablet around 4 years old. Primarily for trips (plane and car rides). We never did the iPad, but rather a Fire Tablet with an AmazonKids account. It basically locks it down so they can only access learning game apps. No youtube, no open internet, no roblox. I wont lie and I'l

New Emulators

Yes. RetroArch I only use for Atari consoles and Intellivision and because I can install it on my Amazon Fire Tablet, which is a neat thing for a $45 tablet. The UI is an abomination and it's entertaining to see the developer defend it on the RetroArch sub, check it out of you haven't.

My interface got too small and can't be made any bigger.

I had the same issue. After updating, everything became very small. I found an 'extra large UI' option in the video settings and disabled it. Three options below it then became active (they weren’t before). I chose 167%, saved the settings. Voilá! Now the GUI is large again, just like before! Highly

Tablet to watch TV in van

I have a 24" computer monitor with speakers that runs on 12v so can use RV 12v source. Plug a Firestick into the monitor HDMI port and you have huge viewing selection. A bluetooth mini keyboard with trackpad makes a great remote. All inexpensive on Amazon and used v little power. Another option is 1

Read faster using the Rapid Serial Visual Presentation technique.

Iactually have an app and software that does this. Works great. Amazon Fire Tablets also have this built in.

Samsung EVO 256GB not working as internal storage

Something is really puzzling me.

I have a Samsung EVO 256GB SD card, which can be formatted perfectly fine as portable storage for the Amazon Fire HD 10 (Kids). After formatted, it shows that I have 256GB available.

However I'd like to use it as internal storage. But when I format it as such, the
