Back then, Amazfit was nowhere in the position to make longer software support. It wasn't as well known and it didn't make as much profit as it is currently doing. Right now, they feel comfortable enough to provide 3 years of updates for the latest watches, as they seem to invest more in their teams

Amazfit haven't put that much effort into swimming. The auto lap detection It's really good, but everything else is really basic. My Active 2 died a couple of days ago and I almost bought the T-Rex 3 Pro 44mm thinking since it was a more expensive model, it would have more advanced swimming features

The whole reason I got along with my almost 5 year old T-Rex, and ordered a new active 3 premium is because of price and longevity. Amazfit has erased one of the only reasons I buy these. If this is their trend, considering their T-Rex pricing now, They won't be on my list next time I look to buy. $
