I can assure you, it's prettier in person. And the best thing about it, they seem to have listened to the complaints about the lack of oleophobic coating on sapphire screens. I've swiped on the screen a lot, since I am still getting used to the 4-button layout. So far, no smudges.

The active 2 was my first lifestyle watch so my use cases was smart features + fitness (outdoor running) which worked well, but as I started to do more running I found the gps didn't work as well in London so live pace can be a little off. That garmin has no offline mapping at all. If you're getting reimbursed, why not the cheetah 2 pro? It's a brand new running watch, top of the line with a lot of goodies including a torch. This plastic bezel on top is so ugly. I get it, probably becouse of antennas, but I like more garmin approach with plastic on sides. Also as mentioned shallow lugs and swiss cheese strap also not my forte. But, yeah interesting design overall. From pics I think there is enough rooom to change nylon
