16X Aurora

It is TRULY obnoxious. Even more obnoxious: I have 2 Dell laptops, an XPS 15 9530 for work and an Alienware Aurora 16x for gaming. I bought a third-party barrell charger for the Aleinware that's rated at the same 280 W as the OEM charger, but because it's not a Dell OEM charger it limits power deliv

One thing to keep in mind: at the end of the day this is a laptop with 5 year old tech. Even if everything is running perfectly, this laptop will be significantly slower in every way than the cheapest new Alienware laptop you can get - the $899 base model of the Aurora 16, which has a faster process

The 16X is just a new Dell G16 with an Alienware logo slapped on it, so it's not surprising to see this. But I guess it's "normal" as long as it's not crashing. Either way I wouldn't be happy with such a thermal impact from such minimal usage.

Do you think the fan noise on this laptop is loud? And have they improved how fast the Alienware Control software runs? I watched Jarrod's review of the 16X Aurora and he mentioned that the software runs a lot slower compared to other brands' built-in apps.
