I pulled the trigger... Am I mad?

If you a UK ISO purist (respect) - the Keychron Q5 and Q6 Max are great choices. Strict UK ISO is actually rare in custom keeb land. I'm left repurposing old Leopold FC980M/Akko 3098B to satisfy this. The Keychron Q1+Numpad/Q3+Numpad combos mentioned here are cool - though I think all of the in-stoc

Looking for recommendations

I think you'll like the Elecfox Lumi101, TECWARE Spectre 96, Akko 3098b, OLAKAKA Ki99 PRO, KZZI K98 V2 These are the ones I can recommend. Lahat sila prebuilt na din para hindi ka mahirapan sa pag build or what.

Where to start?

For a solid yet hobbyist-feeling hot swap keyboard I got into the club with Akko keyboards, particularly their Tokyo World Tour series! I don’t know if that series is available anymore but Akko has really cute stuff for under $100 and I’ve never had an issue between the 5 that I have! I have the MU0

Are expensive keyboards even necessary

I have two Keychron Q6s, a Q9, a K10 Pro and an Akko 3098B Plus. One for every mood :)Also about 1000 unused switches of all sorts (linear, tactile, silent and non-silent) and 15 keycap sets in the drawer. The K10 Pro for $100 is just as good for work / game as the more expensive ones, the differenc

who should i buy from to start a great custom keyboard?

It depending on what you want from your keyboard really, here are some things to consider! Keychron: LOTS of profiles, variations for every budget. It's a solid, but kind of plain keyboard. Missing some of the more advanced features that are starting to make their way into other keyboards. Watch out

March 28, 2025 Weekly "General Help Post?" - Please post all general, recommendations, and help questions as a top level comment under this post. Thank you.

Hiya I received an Akko 3098B, and while I'm mostly indifferent about the build quality, I'm constantly having issues with RF mode. I've tried just about any combination of USB ports and cables I can think of, including the use of USB extensions for the adaptor. I've used the Akko software to check

Alu 95+ layout recos

I guess we can start with a barebone Monsgeek M2 unit then your choice of keycaps and switches. Ajazz AC100 comes to mind if you want a prebuilt alu board with numpad and screen. A good board although sacrificing to plastic case is the Akko 3098b series. I would love to recommend the QK100 because o
