You need a VPN with port forwarding like AirVPN (which I’m currently using). ProtonVPN may be more attractive but its port changes every time you connect, which means you have to manually change it every single time. Once you port forward, your speeds will skyrocket. Also make sure to disable uPnP

You can route the internet of a specific device through a vpn. I have my torrenting server on a vlan and I have that whole vlan routed through a vpn and it works pretty flawlessly, no glueton, no docker. Those speed tests must be using the OpenVPN protocol. You need to use WireGuard. I have AirVPN and consistently get 870-900 Mbps download speeds over WireGuard. And that’s using a server in a neighboring country.
