Knowing about their past waterproofing abilities I'm really concerned about them building a pool robot... All jokes aside, I know somebody's whose house burned down because of a aiper pool robot cleaner.

I bought the Aiper Seagull Pro ( 2023 Upgrade ) in July 2023 and loved it. However, it was recalled because the battery could catch fire and the replacement was the Scuba S1 which is awful. That is why I am on here searching and it seems I am not the only one having this problem.

Yeah true. I just had to return my Aiper pool robot and used the original shipping box to send the boxed robot, then when they returned it they didn’t even put it in a shipping box 🫠 and then I picked it up and the cardboard handle ripped and it went tumbling down 20 steps. 🫠🫠 but yes you are right

New pool owner and I loved my robots -- (skimmer and S1), problem was not how they worked but after two warranty claims and 1 recall the replacement unit died and got zero support. Would recommend something other than aiper.

I'm having the same drama, the QR code is not reading. The Bluetooth I can see but not connect and the wifi seems to be coming up with an aiper prefix instead of the scuba s1 prefix, so the app won't connect to it. In September (2025) I purchased 3 of their devices; the Aiper Surfer S2 solar skimmer ($370), the HydroComm Series ($280) solar thermometer/water testerWiFi device and the Scuba X1 Pro Max ($1,600).
