ELAC DBR62 + Wiim Amp OR Klipsh The Sevens
Why would a streamer DAC amplifier last longer than powered speakers? I guess it is less costly to replace a Wiim than powered speakers. Anything with an app needing set up on a mobile phone isn't going to last as long as passive and active speakers do. If you consider ever going into surround sound

Man this sound system sucks😆😆😆
Which did you get? My 25 Limited sounds pretty good. Make sure the dealership didn't fuck around with your settings on a test drive or something. Probably 80% of the time I get in a car that other people have driven, some wannabe sound engineer has gone in and completely fucked up the EQ settings wh

Does a ‘better’ dac/amp REALLY make a big difference; running desktop monitors?
Yes but you've set the bar way too low, for another 100-200 you will start to hear the difference. There are new devices coming from China in that price range almost daily. Companies like Topping, SMSL, Fiio and others are changing the game. I bought Fiio K17 recently, for the primary purpose of run

P1X pro with integrated mount - speaker brackets Edifier M60
Looking good sir! That should give you some completely justified sense of pride each time you step into your rig. I might even print them and get a pair of M60's to see if they're able to please my ears. Currently there's a pair of Adam Audio A7V's on the floor aimed at my ears. Very able to produce

For anyone on the fence about Fractal / modelers - read this
I’m a huge believer in Adam now. At some point I’d like to upgrade to a7v’s just for the front firing ports. Would be nice not worrying about proximity to wall behind them as much. They’re fantastic speakers though, never heard audio this crisp

Looking for a serious system for a desk!!
How close will you be sitting from the speakers? Will they also have a secondary set of listeners behind them? If the speakers are being mounted at least eight feet from you then the KEFs will be fine. Otherwise you would need near field speakers as they have a different dispersion wave than far fie

Looking for some desktop speakers, around 1k usd, used is ok
It’s certainly worth listening to the Berliners from Adam Audio. Personally, I like the sound of my Adam A7Vs a little better than the competition from Neumann & Genelec, even if this is very subjective and all three manufacturers are impeccable. If you buy second-hand, you could have a look at the

Desktop Stereo Speaker Recommendations
My days in production are long gone, and I now prefer to enjoy hi-fi listening. Why Neumann? Objectively speaking, the Berlin-based company simply produces damn good loudspeakers. For me, this means that the Neumann KH120 II (ASR), for example, reproduces frequencies in the range from 44Hz (@-3dB) l

Help with Nearfield Desktop Speaker Setup Between $1000-1500 (Roughly, Pre-Owned OK)
I faced the same problem some time ago with a comparable budget. After comparing various monitors (Yamaha, Adam T- and A-Series, Neumann, Genelec, Focal, KRK, JBL) in the price range up to 1500€, it was clear to me that it had to be the Adam A7V (including microphone and SonarWorks software). Maybe

What are the best options for home playing
Really, any decent monitor, honestly. I have a small set of the Adam Audio ones, which are a little under $500/pair, and they sound pretty good. Their A7vs are kind of a studio standard, but run closer to $1800/pair. Worth noting that with modeling, it doesn't sound the same as playing a guitar amp;
