Stick with Adams Audio as the Adams Sub-woofer is likely to pair better.. For desktop speakers I would not want to have too large a box and have seen Kef Egg now sell very low in the UK. Adams A5X, A4V, A&X worth considering and trying to get a demonstration.

I have a pair of Adam’s A4V, great speakers for a smaller space. I did have to add a sub (Kali Audio WS-6.2) to round them off. keep this in mind.

I did have a look at the A4V's but they're quite a bit more expensive than the D3V's. 2x the price if secondhand, 3x the price if new.
