Is Acer a shitty brand?
All opinions are anecdotal. So here's been my experience over the years... - Many years ago, I had a C720 Chromebook and the wifi card failed one week after the warranty expired. Acer still gave me an RMA and repaired it for free. - I own an Acer 516 GE Chromebook - refurb on eBay.... zero issues. G

Coming from a personal user of Legion 16IAH7H and LOQ 15ARP9, I would stay away from Lenovo for now. Legion 5i died at 16months, went black, never came back.
