Xbox needs that "next gen" controller

8bitdo Ultimate 3E will probably be the closest you can get (once it is actually available in 2-3 months)

[Gamers Nexus] Valve Steam Controller Review | Latency Benchmarks, Battery Life, Repairability

Almost all 8bitdo controllers have a "square design." Not perfectly square but more so than first party controllers. I own a few 8bitdo Ultimate, 2, and 2Cs. They have a "square design." The arms don't go out as much as an Xbox controller. Like I said, I can give them a pass, but the shape is not as

best controller with gyro and back buttons

Oh my bad I missed the part about Xbox. Then regular G7 Pro is probably the best pick, but you'll be limited to Gamesir software for gyro. If you can wait, the 8bitdo Ultimate 3E should be released pretty soon (I think they said Q3) and I might have better Steam Input compatibility.

8BitDo Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox announced

Just heard about the G7 Pro the same day I heard 8BitDo announce the Ultimate 3E at CES '26. Which one should I end up getting?

The 3e looks better on paper, basically same specs but also has swappable sticks and buttons, but I read it will cost $150I would personally buy the g7 pro between the two since even if you want the wireless xbox functionality its 2/3 the cost. If you don't care about that it's almost 50% the cost o

February 9th 2026 Xbox claims they are banning unauthorized devices.

Thought that previously the wireless versions of like the 8bitdo were not licensed. (But not sure on that). I have to use a MAYFLASH Magic-X Bluetooth USB Adapter to make my 8Bitdo ultimate 2c work with it. I'm guessing / that or the Mayflash will now be problematic. On the bright side looks like th

G7 pro WUCHANG or g7 pro zzz ?

Sure they’re the same besides the extra sticks, whatever you prefer. I have the wuchang and regular g7 pro but i’m waiting to see how the 8bitdo ultimate 3e performs when it comes out in October, looks like it could be a good competitor

What controller to buy *Help*

The G7 Pro us currently available and it have TMR analog sticks and mechanical triggers. I currently have one and it's great. The 8bitdo ultimate 3E have swappable d pads and mechanical buttons. The ultimate 3 have adjustable stick tension. All of them are great options and they're wireless.
