Finally decide to get a fight stick
I have one, and as others said, it is a great controller to start. It is very easy to mod, tho there is really no need in regards to buttons. They are good, only a bit loud. What you will probably notice down the road is that the stick could be a bit tighter, so I really recommend that you change la

Going to commit myself to an asylum at the rates things are going.
Get an 8bitdo arcade stick with the GameCube adapter, works flawlessly and is easily moddable if you don’t like the buttons/stick

I'm always so stoked with 8bitdo's products.
Love 8bitdo also for a long time now. I want to get into the keyboard, but I need light up keys still and loved Logitech's Romer G individual RGB keys that only glowed through the Lettering/Numbering. I want 8bitdo to have a baby with those Romer Gs. That being said, my favorite "8bitdo just dropped

Picked up my first fight stick. How should I mod it?
I would get a base 8bitdo arcade stick and mod that, not an evo one. But you do you :).Anyhow' use it first; apart from the Qanba KS silent buttons (translucent green) I didn't mod it at first. The reason to get these buttons was so I would not be kicked out the living room due to noise heh. Fightpad recommendations
From your list I've tried the retrobit Saturn Controller (wireless) and the 8bitdo arcade stick. 8bitdo Stick is a much higher quality product and the convenience of wireless is great for couch sessions or guest setups. Downside is it's a bit harder to mod yourself but people have done it and there

Arcade Stick for NEO•GEO and Arcade Games
I would say if you’re doing general arcade retro stuff and not trying to be a hyper competitive fighting game champion (where leverless seems to be king anyway) the 8bitdo arcade stick is more than good enough to have fun with, reasonably priced, wireless if you’re into that, and the stick and butto

There comes a time in every retro gamers life where he realizes the value and joy of the Arcade; that "retro" gaming didn't start with the NES. Any guidance as I take the Arcadepill is appreciated.
As you play most of your games on the switch 2, this is my recommendation: Go to the eshop on your phone, search for “arcade archives”, and “ACA neogeo”. Then add every game that interests you to your wishlist. Use the screenshots, descriptions, and genres that you like. Additionally, most of the “s

Nacon Daija having trouble button mapping L3 and R3.
Most likely a Xbox restriction, the Hori Fighting Stick Alpha for PS5 (PS4 and PC) have unrestricted button reassignment/remapping for all eight of its actions buttons while the Xbox Series version of the FS Alpha has its primary 6 buttons locked out with the option of LB & LT being remappable. Hori Alpha or Razer Panthera
In the $150 range there a a huge amount of choices for new sticks even, for something portable, easy to mod, and occasionally wireless go with the 8bitdo arcade stick. For corded only Quanba makes more than a few in that range with Sanwa parts, Mayflash makes the F500-700 series in that price range
