Let the hoarding begin
Impressive, especially in this current hardware climate. I’ve got the UGreen DXP8800 Plus with six 16TB WD Red drives and two 20TB WD Red drives but it’s an early model sourced from the original KickStarted. So I’ve had it for about two years, running UGreen UGOS Pro.

UNAS Pro 8 performance feels slow — only ~300 MB/s with 10 GbE
UGREEN DXP8800 Plus. Wipe the OS drive and install TrueNAS. Build quality is very good, though not quite up to UniFi standards. It has a 10-core i5-1235U and you can stick up to 128GB of DDR5 in it if you want.

DXP4800 Plus - UGOS or UNRAID for ARR Stack + Plex
I think it will depend on your goal. I actually have two Ugreen NASes, a DXP4800 (N100) and just recently bought a DXP8800 Plus. My answer is: The OS will depend on what you'll want from it. DXP arrived
Very nice bit of kit indeed. I have a similar setup. I have a UGreen DXP8800 Plus sourced via the original KickStarter for a little under ~$1000 USD (nigh on 2yr ago). It’s populated with 6x WD Red 16TB drives and 2x WD Red 20TB drives in RAID5 (yes I know). Its default 8GB DDR5 SODIMM was enhanced

Nas Ugreen DXP2800. Problem Hdd WD Red Plus and Iron Wolf !
I’ve never heard that before. I have all HDD bays populated on my UGreen DXP8800 Plus and both M.2 slots populated as well. No issues.

To former Synology User: any regrets after switching to Ugreen?
Synology DS1815+ user here, upgraded to a UGreen DXP8800 Plus with no regrets. I’ll likely never buy another Synology NAS and the UGreen is the best NAS I’ve owned thus far.

Dxp8800plus as a DAS?
That’s a good question. I wasn’t sure since other NAS manufactures with Thunderbolt have this feature or at least QNAP does or did with some models. The DXP8800 Plus and DXP6800 Pro didn’t launch with a this feature but it could have been added in subsequent Firmware releases. If so it would have be
