The Genelec 8010 is a pretty thin sounding monitor. Even with room correction bumping up the low end I don’t quite think they’ll be super pleasing without significant support from a sub. The iLouds on the other end have no problem getting down to below 40hz, again especially with corrective software

iLoud MTM MKIIs for a medium sized room, or the iLoud Micro Monitor Pros for a smaller room. I started with the Micro Monitors, and upgraded to the MTMs last year because of GAS, but I don’t regret it. They sound great out of the box, and can be further calibrated to your room using the included ARC

I listened to the whole thing and could not hear a single goddamn difference. I listened to it with my phone screen off through AirPods Pro 2s. Music technology is so good these days. But the 8010 model is designed as a size marvel first, sacrificing low end extension and SPL. The iLoud MTM can play much louder and lower a

For an untreated room, go with monitors that can be calibrated. I am happy with my iLoud MTM Mk2 in a room where a pair of Yamaha HS5 I had before sounded awful.
