PC illiterate - Help on finding a mini

The problem with the Beelink SER5 MAX 7735HS beyond the rebadged 6800H processor is the cost cutting lack of USB4 and the fact it's never been listed on the official website. I've also read that these 24GB LPDDR5 memory Beelink minis have problems like this. https://www.reddit.com/r/MiniPCs/s/rECBW7

Reasonably Priced MiniPC for PS2/GC Emulation

I know people who have bought the recently released GMKtec M8 PRO 6650H for a makeshift Bazzite Steam Deck console while using Batocera or EmuDeck for emulation up to RPCS3/PS3. Alternately others have been more powerful M7 Ultra the next step up for a budget mini due to its features and easy servic

Opinions on NiPoGi Hype H1

NiPoGi/Kamrui/AceTragic brand mini PCs are not known for build quality or customer service with the Hype H1 being as cost cutting as they get. The LPDDR5 RAM is lower grade 6400MT/s downgraded to 5500MT/s for stability while native USB4 is admitted to further reduce costs. Beelink and GMKtec are mor

Work and play recommendations

With the current RAMpocalypse pre-built mini PCs often make a better investment and AMD Radeon RDNA integrated graphics provided better gaming. "2026 Replacement" for NUC8i5BEK1

Outside of Apple (No PCIe) and high end Intel offering the proprietary and expensive Thunderbolt has given way to the more standardized and open source USB4 standards. By the time you get to Intel/TB4 in something like a ASUS NUC you're outside your budget in 2026. Swapping TB3/TB4 for USB4 the Geek

What's the best mini PC for basic office productivity for around $500-700 USD?

This at $340 is more than plenty for basic office computing. Beelink Ser5 Max The non-Max version would work as well at $280. Beelink Ser5 Edit: my bad, just saw the 1tb requirement. Those Beelinks above have a second ssd slot that you could add more storage with. Something like this would work. GMK

Best Mini PC under €550 in the EU for a 24/7 home server?

These two are both older/smaller platforms with minimum cooling compared to newer generation builds. Both are budget models not necessarily engineered for "sustained 24/7 workloads". Beelink and GMKtec tend to be known on this and other forums for build quality when compared to other Chinese NUCs. A

Noob - need input please

Depends on overall expectations. I know a few people in recent months have bought the Aoostar MACO PRO 6850H "barebones" (soldered memory/missing SSDs) specifically for HTPC/emulation machines. Usually running Windows from one drive slot and Bazzite OS/EmuDeck from a 2nd. These were only $300 a few
