Disappointed in the CorSurf Island Hopper 2.0 34l

Looks cheap and thin fabric - looks like a cheap polyester and slick marketing Cor doesn't even bother to list the fabric type imo: go with a cordura bag with a high denier count or get a Osprey Porter even that generic looking made in china is a dead giveaway how shitty that bag is edit: Not all ba

FarPoint/FairView old vs. new side-by-side comparison

Just my thoughts: I had the Farpoint 40L and then changed to Osprey Unisex Sojourn Porter 46L. It's already a huge game changer to hide the Hip-Belt.. it has more advantages but fast YouTube search explains it better. If someone looks at the Farpoint/Fairview look at the Sojourn Porter.

I found the Best One-Bag for me: Thule Aion Duffle 35L

Duffels are a problem for air travel carry on for a couple reasons. First of all many have the wrong dimensions with a square cross section and leaving one dimension too big and not fully utilizing the available space for the other. The Aion is a good example at 20.5 x 12.6 x 11.8 in. Compare to the

New Globerider 35 vs ULA Dragonfly 30…quick decision

Packs are like shoes when it comes to fit. The idea that one pack is going to fit everyone is fantasy. Those bags with adjustable torso length or come in multiple sizes and gender specific harnesses are the thing. Strap spacing depends on neck size in general, trapezius, general body mass, etc, etc.

Put my Patagonia black hole mlc mini through its maiden voyage and it was great.

Don't sleep on the fact that you can remove the hip belt and use it as a duffel strap: Crossbody and moving it around as needed, and your back isn't sweaty in hot-hot situations. (In the years and years I've used my Osprey Porter, I used the backpack straps twice. The rest of the time was the crossb

Osprey Farpoint 70L backpacking Europe for 2 weeks

The "many people" told you right: it IS "too big to [carry on]," and you absolutely will "end up checking it," no "probably" about it, especially in Europe. For the past 20 years, I've gone on month-long trips to Europe with an Osprey Porter 46 -- but used only ever as a duffel, never on my back, as

Deciding on new onebag

The Osprey is perfectly fine on a 10 mile walk…as long as there is practically nothing in it. It’s great as a day pack with snacks, water, and a raincoat. It’s not great if you load it up with all your stuff. I agree with you though. If I wanted an Osprey around 30L that was actually comfortable to

Do I Need the New 2026 Patagonia Refugio 30L?

I had a look at the old and the new side-by-side yesterday and prefer the old. The shop models were stuffed with pillows, so I got a decent sense of how they would look when filled, but of course not how they would carry with a proper full load. . The new version has the laptop section in the back w

Daypack or Best way to have 2 bags?

I use an Osprey Daylite 20L (NOT the Daylite 26 + 6) as my day pack. When empty it just packs almost completely flat in my larger one bag. I put it in last on the top. I have even attached it on the outside using an S biner when pressed for internal space, holding it in place with the compression wi
