Finally Did It. I drilled vent holes in my Google Wifi Pro 6e's.

So after almost 6 months of dealing with having to restart the network when it would drop to 10Mbs, when it should be getting 400Mbs. I opened one up and looked at where I could drill vent holes, made a masking tape template and then drilled all 6 of my units. The outcome.... 2 weeks without having

After 6+ years, I finally solved all my Nest WiFi issues. Thanks, Google!

nest wifi pro has been incredible for me although I've had it for a only a month but it is a night and day difference compared to my spectrum provided router

Thread border router... make me feel better.

You can buy a newer wifi system with Thread: eero 7, eero Pro 7, eero PoE 7, eero Outdoor 7, eero Max 7, eero Pro 6E, eero 6+, eero Pro 6, eero 6, eero PoE 6, eero Pro (Wi-Fi 5), and eero Beacon (Wi-Fi 5) all support Thread border routing and are Thread 1.3.0 compliant. Advantages of using the IOT network vs assigning devices to 2.4ghz?

I have seen no degrade in performance on my Deco compared to my previous Nest Wifi Pro setup. As they're wifi signals coming from the same device, they'll be better at controlling the radio spectrum to avoid interference. The interference happens when another network is on the same frequency / chann

do nest wifi pro nodes only connect to the nest wifi pro router or can they can connect to each other wirelessly?

It's more complicated than that, but there are a few things to consider. First, Nest WiFi Pro runs the (hidden) mesh interconnect on the 6GHz band, which is (still) subject to lower transmit power constraints than 5GHz is. It sounds like that may be the issue here. Second, yes -- in theory, they wil

Tesla PW3, Wifi WPA3 & Google Nest Wifi Pro

I see. Apologies it looks like you can’t do what you want to do then with a Google Nest WiFi Pro. UniFi lets you do a WPA2+WPA3 and run 6GHz.. so it’s possible outside of Google’s ecosystem.

New Google Home Speaker as Thread Border Router

I don't have Home Speaker, but my Nest Hub Max and Nest Wifi Pro and non-Pro automatically created Thread networks after setup (or joined existing one) Unfortunately it works entirely automagically and you don't have almost any control over this process

Nest WiFi (2nd Gen) PPPoE Issue

Glad it's up and running. I know you're on 2nd gen but for anyone using the Nest Wifi Pro, Just ignore the speedtest results from the Nest Wifi Pro as they are broken on PPPoE connections as will always massively under report their speeds and in my case, it led to network slow downs after a few days
