Home router for 10gbps fiber internet

While I agree with others that most of your equipment probably doesn’t support 10G, and it’s massive overkill for almost all scenarios, that isn’t what you asked. Ubiquiti dream router 7 and express 7 and cloud gateway fiber will do 10G wan . The first 2 have WiFi integrated.

First time buying a router and I have no idea where to start... Please help!

You can go for fancy tech specs if you want, but in my experience, simplicity, ease of use and appearance are more important. These days I only ever buy Ubiquiti for those reasons, e.g.'good enough for most people' https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/NETUBI2208/Ubiquiti-UniFi-UCG-Ultra-Cloud-Gateway-Ul

Is it possible to not go all-in?

My in-laws have an Express 7 because it's all they need and allows me to keep an eye on things. Nothing requires buying a bunch of kit you don't need but a lot of the ubiquiti benefit to me is not needing to manage 3 different swiches, plus APs, plus the firewall, plus an nvr and cameras. I can do i

Recommendations on routers that support a separate IoT VLAN? Bonus points if the wife won’t think it’s ugly.

Ubiquity’s offerings are fairly prosumer-oriented, their Dream Router 7 and Express 7 should also hopefully pass the wife test Failing that I think some of TP-Link’s Deco line should also support IoT VLANs and also pass the wife test at cheaper prices

Possible Orbi RBR50 issues. Considering upgrading.

If I were experiencing this issue now-a-days, I would try out a UniFi setup consisting of(i) A UDR7 (Dream Router 7) as a base-station (Cloud Gateway) (ii) A UniFi Express 7 as a mesh node This guy has a good video on how to set something like this up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr0tzmX8AOk The

Looking for new Network Router

Could always look into a Ubiquiti setup. As a newbie to the home networking world, I got a UniFi Express 7 and love it for my apartment. Did take a couple hours to dial in the settings tho. Dream Router 7 or Cloud Gateway paired with other APs might be more suited to your use, since they have more p
