Good pc for llm or mini pc?
If you’re short on space you could just grab a Mini PC. Something like the GEEKOM A9 Mega with that AI Max+ 395 is a beast if you actually need some real power.

I came to this thread being extremely annoyed with the fan noise since I'm very sensitive to noise. It's been my only disappointment with the machine. It has already been mentioned but there is a new EC version (0.17) available here:https://service.geekompc.com/a9-mega/ There's not a lot of guidance

That budget is wild lol. I just saw the GEEKOM A9 Mega with 128GB but that is way over what you want to spend. They have the 32GB GEEKOM A9 Max though and that fits your price point pretty well.

I don't think there's a good way without laying out some money at the moment. imho, you get something like the Formlabs Desktop, Geekom A9 Mega, GMKTec Evo-X3, or similar. Geekom A9 Max good for gaming, local AI, daily use and Linux?
AI MAX+ 395 has the best integrated iGPU ( about the same as a mobile 4060 ) at this time, you will need a GEEKOM A9 Mega for this, but for full 4K gaming you need the highest end dGPU you can find. Any suggestions for an 890M equipped SFF PC?
Yeah, I have been thinking about picking up a mini pc for myself, but with the 388 on the horizon I am holding out for now - can't justifiy the price of the 395+. The Geekom A9 Mega with the 388 and 32-64 GB of Ram instead of the 395+ with 128GB for ~1200$ and not 1900-2000$ and I would be sold. Sad

Which operating system you are using ? BTW just noticed Different GPU — that's the key. Your 890M is RDNA 3 (gfx1103), GEEKOM A9 Mega has the RDNA 3.5 (gfx1151). ROCm issue #6186 is specific to gfx1151, not gfx1103
