Sony FX 5 almost one camera to rule them all?

Seeing it today has made glad I decided to go canon and get the r6iii. Almost half the cost and I have a mechanical shutter for photography. The footage I’ve seen just looks like Sony footage and nothing new.

Help choosing my first serious hybrid camera: Nikon Z6III Vs Canon R6III

I haven't used an R6III, but I use an R6II from time to time for contract work, and I own a Z6III which I have as much primary camera body. Answers to your questions: If you're starting from scratch, both will be easy to learn and grow with. I find Nikon and Canon to be both be relatively intuitive

Z6iii in a A7V World

You can get a refurb Z8 for new A7V money if you hunt the sales. Z6iii is much cheaper and still extremely good, if you don't need the pixels, the Z6iii is simply a better choice than the A7iv (in fact I'd argue the Z5ii is generally a better choice than the A7iv, having owned both) Despite the use

S1Mii body drop to $2356 during the june Promotional Campaign-but still to expensive compare to its competitors

Genuinely confused as to how you could get this so wrong. The S1II and the A7V are the same price currently in the US ($2899), The R6 III is $100 cheaper, Nikon Z8 starts at $3100 used on MPB, and the A1 starts at $3400 used. At $2356, the S1ii a DEAL. Let's break this down: - Photography: all the b

SONY,CANON,NIKON

In 2026, you cannot go wrong with any prosumer camera released in recent years. Canon - for colors and if you are willing to pay the premium for their lens ecosystem. R6iii is nearly perfect. Sony - if you value limitless lens options. A7V is amazing. Nikon - for their high res rear lcds/evfs, cheap

Canon adds a 32-megapixel sensor and 7K video to the new EOS R6 Mark III

I have good news on the first point, my friend: Canon isn't claiming any particular technological leaps with this sensor, but our initial testing shows that it has even faster readout speeds than the lower-resolution chip found in the EOS R6 II. The R6 III has some truly impressive rolling shutter r

Second Camera Body

I just upgraded one of my R6 to a R6iii. It definitely is nice, but you'd have to buy some CFexpress cards and the new camera hates batteries that aren't the newest model of LP6. It gives warnings every time you turn on the camera with other real Canon batteries and won't turn on with 3rd party ones

What body should I upgrade to? Concerned about moiré issues when shooting commercial work with the S1 II. More details in the post.

Canon is good but R6III has serious overheating problems (even in burst photo mode). For video only Lumix is good (nice ibis, codecs, open gate). If you want video oriented only go Lumix

What features from older cameras do you miss the most and wish manufacturers would bring back to modern mirrorless cameras?

I really wish they would put higher density screens in the EVF's for sure. I had a Sony a7III and now a Canon R6 III and I can still see the individual pixels after 8 years of technological advancement :(

I want a new full-frame

Do you need it now? The Z5ii is cheaper and satisfies all your requirements, but since it's new it hasn't been discounted yet. If Canon or Sony introduces an R6III or A7V, the previous models will get discounted too. I wouldn't consider the S5IIX since video is not your focus. Realistically the Z6ii
