I think the AL65 is just it's own thing, it released after the AL68 so if i had to guess it's just an alternative for those who don't need a knob :p Still has QMK and the newer yunzii switches, I was gonna buy it originally cuz it looks really slick but the AL68 was cheaper

Keygeek Peachy Linear review
It is stock so it is an FR4 plate. I am curious about trying others, but I also don't want to wait for shipping from China again, so I'll probably just leave it, unless there's somewhere in the US that sells parts. I will say the flex cut PCB sure makes trying out switches far more of a pain in the
