Anyone using display glasses with a SteamDeck on flights or while traveling?
I started with refurb Viture Pro XR but my impression is some people might get motion sickness as it's basically a screen mounted to your eye sight. it captures small and big shakes that goes with traveling. I have now settled with the Xreal One Pro and it has built-in stabilization as well as AI co

So, the smartphone has hit it’s peak form, what comes after this?
Kids today don’t understand why (we/I) had to sit at a desk to use the internet. We’re at step 1 with AR glasses. Cool example at good price “XReal 1S Glasses” LOTS of wearables at CES. And imo smartwatches never got past step 2 because they didn’t replace the iPhone it only supplemented it. Invasiv

I want to get some AR glasses for gaming - whats the absolute best to get?
240hz is neat but a handheld isn’t going to really need anywhere near that. The XReal 1S is probably a better deal then the one pros at the moment.

My travel / desk setup
Just get Xreal One Pro or 1S. An OLED 120hz screen that fits in a glasses case and works flawlessly. The only disadvantage is that they are $400-600

XR Glasses as a Monitor Replacement for Coding on Linux. Worth It in 2026?
I thought the Xreal 1S was good enough without much distortion. But I haven't pulled the trigger, too scared to waste money

I feel nervous playing steamdeck at public
Same here. What's even better: a Steam Deck combined with the XReal 1S glasses (AR glasses that project a virtual screen). Because the screen is now wherever you're looking (and huge to boot, think like 65" or bigger), you can hold the SD however you want and not strain your neck. It also works grea

Is the Beast chromatic aberration that visible ?
I was on the same boat and had the means to order multiple XR glasses at the same time (including the Beast), and they're all going to have their pros/cons. If you need 3dof, then I would suggest XReal 1s for a better price to performance, but maybe even wait a few more months for newer product. If

Rate my travel gaming rig 🫣
If you with ”stay still”, mean anchored in space (3 degrees of freedom/3DoF) then I’d suggest start looking at xreal models with X1 chip (One/1S models) if you were planning to buy tomorrow. Otherwise, see how the Beast evolves, it’s still new and gets new firmware frequently. If they manage to opti

Viture Beast vs. XReal One Pro For Gaming?
I don't have any chromatic aberrations on my Xreal one Pro, the edges are slightly blurrier than the 1S (which looks really crisp) and much better than the blurry mess that's the Viture Beast where the edges are barely usable. The 1S suffer from the underside reflection of all birdbath optics howeve

What’s something you spent more on than usual that ended up being totally worth it?
AR glasses, really random purchase. Was looking for something to treat myself for my birthday. And random scroll came across these AR glasses ads where you can just plug into a phone or laptop/ gaming device and as a second monitor integrated into the glasses. Went "wow, what a gimmick, JUST WHAT I
