Mi Band 8

No it's not possible. Xiaomi deleted date and time settings from smart band 8 and never added them back in 9 and 10 even after a lot of feedback from users. This is one of the reasons I ditched them and switched to amazfit and I am really happy I did. A smart band that can't even show date and time

Even the much more recent Mi Band 8 hasn't received an update in 2 years. Usually, there are one or two updates in the months after launch, with urgent bug fixes and added features that weren't ready yet at the release. But there are no constant updates.

Nope, the "Active" versions in Xiaomi Wereables or just in general, doesn't get updates or gets updates not often. Yeah the mi band 8 is the biggest downgrade in xiaomi history, like it’s glue being weaker than other bands and software failures as well and many bugs were reported and weren’t even fixed, I would rather get the mi band 7 at least it looks better

Apparently, starting with the Mi Band 8, you can't configure the buttons on the watchface to open apps. And it definitely doesn't work in the EasyFace editor. Does this work on your version of Mi Band 9?

The best part is that up to Smart Band 7 you had date/time settings so you could change it to DD/MM but they removed the settings from Smart Band 8. Today I ordered Amazfit watch which has proper date and time settings, and I will never use xiaomi again. Clowns

Having something similar with Mi Band 8. Won't install FW update, same "system error occurred" message when I try to install it OR any of the watch faces. Ugh, so I'm stuck with the rainbow racetrack for now. Any insights that could help? Thanks!

That happened to mi on my mi band 8. Had to get it replaced, since I wasn't able to swipe to the side any more

I have been using my Mi Bands in the shower for years, but the Mi Band 8 was the first one that suddenly stopped working. My bigger problem is actually that during showering, everything gets activated on the screen. For this reason, I am now thinking of just taking off the Mi Band 10 while showering
