I agree with this in principle. That said, people complained when there were no significant updates to the controller between XB1 & XB Series, despite the fact that the Xbox controller has kinda been the platonic ideal in game controllers for over a decade.

Bit of an old comment im replying to but I just have to emphasize this, the bumpers are the only thing that keep breaking on my xbox controllers. Ive tried the normal original controller and a bunch of others, im currently on the wolverine pro wired and this is the only one thats lasted me this long

Maybe it was your router. I never had any issues with my steam link. The controller was a little clunky, but it was a novel effort. These days I use an Xbox controller with the steam link apps.
