3 way performance metrics update.
That is amazing for a 3 way build with no waveguide. Easily better than a Wharfedale Super Denton.

So impressed by the Wharfedale Evo 5.1s
Wharfedale isn't playing around! I've not heard one yet that doesn't stun and please me. Tremendous value! Super Dentons are my end-game speaker for my den. Trying to buy less new records to save up. Doing kinda sorta OK.... lol FYI - while they last, Music Direct has new old stock of the 220's, (5.

Modern Speakers with a vintage sound?
They say the Wharfedale Super Denton sounds old timey, and I sure do want a pair! Hopefully soon.

Deciding between 3 options for a noob TT setup!
I didn't catch the lack of amp - that's my miss! And generally speaking, the speakers are going to give you the most "signature" to your sound. They should be about half of your spend, more if you can afford to budget for it, rough rule of thumb. But yes - with my recommendation you would need an am

Tiny Asian home
Thanks for the like and validation! Accuphase and Yamaha NS690/1000 do dance like a tango! The mids are holographic and musical at the same time, even better than some AlNiCo speakers in my memory. Rolling tubes is the most playful part. I tried to roll from all brands 6sn7, 6f8g, ECC32/33, and they

Super Linton, Dali, Focal or….
We have had many many speakers in our listening room, and the ones we have never sold off are the Wharfedale Lintons 85th, and we have had Tannoy, Polk, Klipsch, Dali, KLH, Jamo, JBL, KEF, Triangle, Martin Logan, Sonus Faber, Focal and few others and we ended up keeping the Wharfedale's over all the

Desktop speaker choice
If this is mostly nearfield / desk listening and you’ve only got 10–20 cm from the rear wall, I’d prioritise controlled bass and good off-axis behaviour over sheer scale. Quick thoughts on your list: KEF LS50 Meta – excellent imaging and midrange, but they’re not ideal that close to a wall without s

Bookshelf speakers my mother could tolerate? $1.5-3k budget
My first thought was the KEF LS50 Metas. Second would be Wharfedale Super Dentons.

Bookshelf Speakers for Close Distance (~5 feet)
Being so close to the speaker I'd probably start with coaxial speakers like the Zu Method or Fyne F500SP. If that's not your style, the Sonus Faber Lumina II or Lumina II Amator might work well as they are warm-sounding and down-ported. And since you're running a sub and have room correction, the ve

Advice for replacing Focal Chora 806!
All those brands and their entry level products are going to be bright sounding products. Not warm like you want. And yes, to get to better sounding products, you usually need to go up to the next series up (from entry level). Take a look at e.g. Wharfedale Linton Heritage (EAC review), Wharfedale S
