Professors gave me a nice keyboard. Cleaning people stole it.

(e.g pok3r) Holy shit I still remember my Vortex Pok3r that I ordered with Cherry MX Blue and came with Cherry MX Black (retooled) and basically kickstarted my keyboard hobby (because the Amazon rainbow keycaps were super tight so the G came out with the switch so I had to repair it, and that did it

I've been using my pok3r with Cherry browns for nearly a decade now. Still works great, but have always been a bit annoyed by it's lack of software configurability. I'd also like better switches. Tried I think Cherry clears at the time but I remember them feeling too heavy, though I don't know if I'

Work + gaming wireless keyboard: Keychron K2 HE or something cheaper?

Pro: Keychron are the only ones with HE+QMK. Con: Keychron seem to be going through some kind of crisis. They have QA problems and people are reporting awful customer support.. Other options: Monsgeek TMR boards. Fun60 Ultra TMR and M1 V5 TMR Pro: Can mix and match magnets and conventional switches.

there are still boards that support split space but apparently this never became that popular they've been "replaced" by magnet switches (HE switches, see Wooting), which actually offer significant advantages for gaming (up to the point certain functions had to be banned) the pok3r keyboard and it's

Most keycap sets will cover a standard 60% layout of the pok3r - it was one of my first boards as well a long time ago! Whilst you’ll get coverage you might not find ones with legends for secondary functions of that specific board. Keyboards now are configurable so having those tertiary legends isn’

First Time Driver Entry issue

That's not like someone is actually shipping HE boards with open source software. I might be interested in a Pok3r-compatible HE board, especially if it's compatible with the GMMK silent panda HE switches. Not a 65% that only fits the Bakeneko... and your second link is just to the sub.

Yet another Royal Kludge victim

Was quite surprised by the quality of my RK65 board when I bought it but it only lasted a year before the main board broke and I get unresponsive columns or pressing a key activated a bunch of other keys etc. Before this my last board was a pok3r and that lasted me for 8 years and nowadays keyboards

Hey all, I'm a huge fan of the vortex pok3r since I ever got my first one many, many years ago. I still use it daily, it never failed me. Over the years, I collected a few more pok3rs so that I don't have to carry any around, but noticed that especially more recent ones have some technical or qualit

First custom keyboard build, need advice

OK, this isn't a $500 build but I put this one together for about $150 and just love it. It's a 60% with a minila layout that gives you arrow keys back, split backspace, zebrawood case, built from parts from different vendors. The wooden case makes it a legit percussion instrument. I started out wi

Haven't bought a keyboard in almost a decade. Looking for recs for a programmable 60% that is reasonably quiet. I have a Vortex Pok3r with cherry clears which I like well enough; I want to get something similar but quieter for the office. There are SO MANY switches now; what are the go to tactiles t
