The Beast: a what’s under the hood Tech Review.
My conclusion remains the same: Viture has a quality control issue. They probably have been really careful when they sent units for reviews but not as much with the end users, given the mixed opinions and my own experience. I did really want to like the glasses but my unit was a complete disaster. V

Beast 3dof drift in every direction except West?
Have you purchased a product from an established company that is as bad as the Beast? I don’t understand why you would even bother with the 3DoF. Image quality is severely lacking, only 1080p/60hz, 3D and UW don’t work… Beast is their flagship product… they learned nothing after Luma series QC issue

Viture Pro vs. Xreal One Pro vs. Viture Beast: Is the edge-to-edge clarity worth the 3DOF trade-off?
Edge blur is pretty bad… I can’t read text at or near the left and right edges. Center is very sharp. I had the one pro for a while and returned them in favor of the luma cyber. Birdbath has edge to edge clarity for me on the viture pro xr and luma cybers, way better than the beast. The beast’s 3dof

Quick Luma Pro Review after 2ish weeks
The FOV is slightly too big to make use of the full 1200p resolution, which sucks Currently researching these and other brands before making a purchase. It didn't immediately occur to me that I wouldn't want a larger FOV without a matching increase in resolution, which will turn me away from Viture'

Beast feels like bait and switch
The FOV is true. And the extra 6° too. I've had 4 different XR glasses and I can tell the difference between all of them. The 3D issue sounds to me like a problem due to resolution. Viture only allow full sbs (and that's a problem because it leads to what you describe). They should support half sbs

About to pull the trigger
I'm just gonna say Viture has some QA issues. I have both the Luma Pro and a Beast from the batch that just got released. I want to like the Beast but for my use-case, it has too many issues. Frequent EDID handshake failure, edge and corner blur that's so bad I'm starting to think I got a defective

Viture Pro vs. Xreal One Pro vs. Viture Beast: Is the edge-to-edge clarity worth the 3DOF trade-off?
My issue with legibility is that without 6dof I can’t adjust how I would with a normal monitor. With 3dof I can adjust my head slightly and see stuff no more centered on the glasses, without 3dof you can’t do that and I wonder what the point would be at all. I used to have an old pair of viture xr-

Finally ready to pull the trigger. Beast or XREAL One Pro, and a couple of questions
Yes. Much better. I've had: Viture XR Pro (NOT luma, but the previous gen) Viture Beast Xreal One Pro Xreal 1S For text clarity: xreal 1s > viture xr pro > xreal one pro > viture beast The One Pros are pretty near the xr pro though, and the 3DOF compensates a lot in this case. However the king of te
