Unless you need 6GHz Wi-Fi, you could go with an Amplifi alien or two with a mesh setup. But that's only Wi-Fi 6. It's still really good. For your gaming, though, I recommend connecting with ethernet.

Most consumer AIO single and mesh units will outperform a single UniFi AP. An Amplifi Alien is designed for someone who just wants to plug it in wherever. APs are designed for strategic placement.

The three Wi-Fi mesh systems I am familiar with are plume, eero, and Amplifi Alien. Stay far away from Plume. Eero is fine, but doesn’t have the level of configuration I want.
