Is Amplifi being phased out?

Amplifi Alien routers are not being replaced. Recently tried to RMA one and they accepted the sent in one but had nothing to send me back so I got upgraded to UniFi equipment.

Walmart still has an Amplifi system for sale.

The Amplifi line from Ubiquiti is actually a good reliable WiFi and Mesh system for the average home user. I had two of the Amplifi Aliens and they were great devices very good WiFi coverage and easy to setup. I never had any issues out of them.

Nest increases subscription price, here comes Ubiquiti!

Full disclosure, I run a full Unifi setup and use Protect. But yes, you are correct, Ubiquiti has a checkered past where they made decisions to abruptly discontinue support for their products. I use to manage an old Unifi Video system when they abruptly sunsetted it for Protect that you could not ru

The new T-Mobile/Ubiquiti 5G Router looks very familiar (Amplifi Alien)

edited after watching the release video I’ve been a vocal advocate for Ubiquiti’s AmpliFi Alien routers for years—constantly recommending them to friends and online communities for their seamless mesh performance, Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, and that sleek, minimalist design. They truly felt like a game-c

AmpliFi Alien EOL ...

Not sure what version of Amplifi Alien routers you might be looking at but I own and use two and the last firmware release notes on the Amplifi site show this for the latest release notes. My two Aliens have firmware versions of 4.0.5 which is two releases later than the 4.0.3 listed on the site. Bo

Dream Router 5G Max - disappointment

Almost positive you never had the AMPLIFI Alien or even seen one in person. It’s FAR from cheap build! I’m thrilled with the Dream Router 5G Max design as the mini Dream router 7 screen is a major disappointment. I have the Alien and the UI is brilliant with relevant information. I was upset when my

Good Routers

If you’ve got the funds for it I would totally recommend the Ubiquiti Amplifi Alien - it’s a really good WiFi 6 router. Bought it a few years ago after a recommendation from a friend, and it has given me dependable service with no major dramas. Also comes with a range extender (complete with Etherne

Lutron Hub

The three Wi-Fi mesh systems I am familiar with are plume, eero, and Amplifi Alien. Stay far away from Plume. Eero is fine, but doesn’t have the level of configuration I want. Alien is better, but dated, I’d expect them to update to Wi-Fi 7 soon. If setting up fresh, I’d go with Uniquiti’s commercia

On the iOS26 beta, and HomeKit now shows how long a device has been “No Response.”

I've had my fair share of No Response issues within HomeKit and it mostly started when I got a a tp-link Deco router. (my first WiFi6 router) A lot of my devices did not like how the router managed the WiFi 6 standard especially on 2.4GHx band (if you turned that off and went with the older WiFi sta

Advice needed: UniFi Protect setup without Ethernet cabling (currently using AmpliFi Alien)

I’m unfamiliar with AmpliFi Alien but I would recommend always hardwiring these devices. It’s worth it for reliability and reducing the load on your home WiFi If you insist on keeping AmpliFi, try to run cables (consider outdoor runs too, they can often simplify your setup considerably) and strategi
