There is no best speaker, there's only the speaker that fits your needs specific to the size you want and the bass extension that you can accept For the medium size, try a Earfun Uboom L or Soundcore Motion 300 For the large size, try the Tribit Stormbox Lava or Soundcore Boom 2 For a Boombox size t

Tribit storm box lava, you won't regret it especially if you have a good eq on it

Just one note with the Uboom L, they lose quite a bit of bass at higher levels and have reasonably good bass at normal levels, but nowhere near subwoofer level. More like a good 5.25" bookshelf speaker. Then again most speakers that size also have the same issue. Their real strength is their neutral

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking, with the Blast or Lava as the center speaker and the Micro as the tweeter. That would be the best setup and would improve the sound dramatically. I tried it once with Samsung Dual Audio using the Micro 2 and Lava, but there was a huge delay. The Micro 3s arri

Neither of those have "deep thumping bass" that you can feel. That generally is limited to Large size class and bigger speakers. This video shows what bass performance is generally expected from each size class: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Pa6FUt1GU8 Physics limits the bass extension of smaller

Keep in mind that Li-Ion batteries which every speaker has cannot go in checked luggage, they are carry on only. The top recommendations for sound quality are: Boombox size: Earfun Uboom X, Tribit Stormbox Blast, Harmon Kardon Go+Play3 Large size: Tribit Stormbox Lava, Soundcore Boom 2

Per the review, without an EQ the motion+ is "about 25th" on the list anyways, while the Xsound Plus 2 is 31. I wouldn't want to buy a refurbished speaker even if I could find it at the moment however. For large, the StormBox Lava is 7th anyways. I don't mind a slight V or U shape audio profile pers

You'll probably want to consider the Earfun Uboom L or if you need deeper bass and are okay with a larger form factor the Tribit Stormbox Lava. Detailed reviews and sound samples of both are linked here https://www.speakerranking.com/portable/best-sound-quality/

I recently did some research for a friend for a portable bluetooth speaker with aux in connectivity in your budget range. I ended up with the following recommendations: Tribit Stormbox Lava Soundcore Motion X600 Now these probably still have some aux in delay, but it will be significantly less than

Minirig for true zero latency and great sound, but theyre expensive. For a budget option, I've found the Tribit Stormbox Lava to be pretty good for the price, and when plugged into the aux, there is a tiny bit of latency, but it's only really noticeable if I also plug in a speaker with zero latency
