I wish this sub would stop recommending Unifi to everyone. If you don’t have networking experience you don’t want unifi. You’ll get better out of the box performance with something like a BE550. You can't mesh them together, as they're not compatible. Even if you give the WiFi networks the same name, these will still be two different WiFi networks, and you won't be able to seamlessly roam between them. There is no actual reason to keep your BE550 as one of the Decos can be your main router.

If you only use their router, don't bother going more than a gig. The ~600 Mbps on WiFi, you'll always see even if you got the 2 gig or even 1.5 gig.
