What’s a smart, realistic business to start right now with $15k-20K?

TL-WR841N is around 20 bucks and beats the pants off of the fake routers. It's perfect for 1000-1500 sq ft. For larger homes, the Archer A6 is phenomenal. Both routers are insanely easy - just plug em in and the password's on the bottom.

Which one of these routers for PCVR ?

The ASUS RT-AX58U V2 should do the job nicely. Its AX with 160mhz channel width. Do not get the the TP-Link Archer C6, its a wireless AC router and they sometimes dont play well with newer wifi 6E devices like the Quest 3/Pro, tablets/phones/laptops. I just replaced my home routers from the Archer A

Why do games look better in wireless pcvr on quest 2.

Network cards aren't the best solution, ideally you want a router in your room ( set up as an access point or not ) that your PC is connected to via ethernet, then you want your headset to be connected to that router. The Virtual Desktop discord has a list of known-good routers that work for VR and

TP-LINK AC1200 as AP slow internet speed

My TP-Link AC1200 Gigabit WiFi Router (Archer A6) is giving me the same issues. One is running fine at 550 550. But my second one is connected via ethernet, I have the second set in Access Point Mode and I get stuck where it won't go higher than 100 mbps. But rebooting everything so many times, ofte

Need smooth low-latency Wi-Fi in my room 2. OneMesh router, extender, or Deco? Help please

if u go option one, it is easy to use easymesh. just plug lan cable and activate the mesh in both router. one for the source, and one for the client node. ax10 will do just fine if your budget not much and it also has support for wired backhaul mesh iirc. deco will be more expensive imo. the only co

What is a rock-solid affordable router for an average family?

By far the worst router I ever owned was a $200 Netgear, and the best is my current one: a $16 TP-Link Archer A6 from amazon. I have fiber and reach the full 300-400mbps expected from wifi. It never needs to be reset, the range is fantastic, it is mesh-capable, and TP-Link firmware is just as good o

I'm tired of hearing "Just use VD or ALVR", it should just work

You don't need a $70 router. I got an archer a6 for $22 on eBay and I can play with h265 max bitrate perfectly without any stutters. The only thing it can't do is really high bitrate h264+.

TP-Link Archer A6 v2 Full Flash Dump Request

The latest version of the firmware is at https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-a6/v2/#Firmware. It's the full version. The router is also end-of-lifed. There haven't been any firmware updates for 3 years, so getting a newer model would be strongly recommended,as the older firmware will

Can't get smooth gameplay even with lowered settings

Ah yeah alyx is a really well optimized game it runs pretty good, even on my old gtx 1060 system I used to get some microstutters with my old router tp link archer a6 on the quest 2, seems to be mostly gone with the new router netgear axe300 and quest 3, I tried a tp link axe75 because it was highly
