Count your days Tarte

I hate Tarte so much. I haven't liked anything I've tried except for the Maneater mascara, but even if I had, this is just uncalled for and I won't be needing to sample anything else from them. Yikes.

Makeup products that ended up sucking (for you)

The Tarte Maneater mascara was my biggest waste of money. The brush was great, but the mascara was absolute trash. No matter what I did it just crumbled all over my eyes. I think it may actually be the worst mascara I have ever used.

Emily Fauver - Week Of August 18, 2025

I really like tarte’s maneater mascara (dries out fast though) but can no longer support tarte after this ridiculous gift and their massive support for Emily

Best cruelty-free gloss and mascara? 💄 🐰

I was going to say Tarte’s Maneater mascara is amazing, but I just checked and although Tarte as a brand is cruelty free, their parent company (Kose) is not cruelty free. So I will have to find a different favorite mascara now :/

DISCUSSION: Wednesday Makeup Declutter! Let's discuss your recent declutters.

I got rid of the tarte maneater mascara. I had it in a mini size and got it for free with purchase maybe like 3 years ago. I’ve tried using it up (it was ok, wouldn’t repurchase) but it absolutely sucked lol and dried up so fast inside the tube. I had to moisten it a few times with eye drops just be

What’s the biggest “waste of money” makeup purchase you’ve ever made?

i’ve only used lancôme (any of them) or tarte maneater mascara in the past decade and haven’t had any issues. i switched ONE TIME last year and got a massive stye. i will not deviate from those brands. it sucks because they’re like $30 a tube but at least one eye isn’t half closed edit: when i wore

What’s your HOLY GRAIL mascara?!

I love Tarte's Maneater mascara on my straight, short Asian lashes 🥲 It helps me keep my curl, volumizes, and doesn't smudge.

Flakes, Clumps, Smudges- I’m sick of being disappointed! what mascara do you swear by?

I like most Lancôme mascaras, Tarte’s Tartelette tubing mascara, Tarte’s Maneater mascara, and L’Oréal’s Panorama and Lash Paradise mascaras. Right now I’m using Tartelette and Lash Paradise. Neither are clumpy on me but my lashes aren’t thick.

How do I avoid my mascara from smearing underneath my eyes?

I use the NYX “On the rise” or the Tarte "Maneater” mascara and they don’t smudge as long as you keep ur eye open for a bit/ blink slowly for them to dry. One dry, especially for NYX since it’s waterproof, it’ll stay on all day! Btw ur so pretty and I love ur cheekbones! 💖💖

What's your favourite mascara?

My favorites are Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara and Tarte Maneater Mascara. I prefer both of them in the brown shade the most. I also like using the L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara to lengthen and separate after I use any mascara.
