I have straight, fine lashes. Which lightweight mascara would be good for me?
I don't know any cruelty free lightweights, but waterproofs are generally good for lashes that tends to droop. Tarte Lights Camera Lashes or Tarte Man-eater is top notch as is Maybelline Falsies.

Non-flaky Mascara recs
I swear by Tarte Lights Camera Lashes - I really prefer the gold and silver versions (if you can find them). I have very sensitive eyes and they frequently water or I rub them. I have zero flake with this mascara, even after touching my eyes multiple times a day.

i have chronic dry eyes and wanted to know if washable mascara us safe for me or not
I also have chronic dry eyes Tarte lights camera lashes seems to be the only mascara the doesnt irritate me. I but the mini so i don't risk using it when it's old.
