Hoping to find my unicorn of a keyboard: slightly ergonomic, silent tactile switches, 100% layout, full-height keys, with a wrist-rest, and which doesn't cost a fortune.
For those prices, you will absolutely have to build. I have little experience with 100% layout split boards, are you sure that's what you want? It seems like it would be rather difficult to craft unless you at least used a detached numpad, at least if you want it to be actually split in two. There m

Deep down the rabbit hole
I tried glove80 first for 6 months. I learned ortholinear layout. I didn't like the keywell. I liked the 6 thumb keys. I built Sofle with 6 thumb keys. Then I developed the thumb overuse injury and started to using home row mods. The layout was quite good but it was mx spaced and my thumb still didn

Sofle vs Elora
I find it great as long as you don't need portability. On my Sofle I use CLP keycaps. They are derived from KLP Lamé. Either gives about 75% of the keywell experience without the bulk. But I'm building a Dactyl to use as my main keyboard. If I can ever finalize the design. I just printed my 6th iter

Should I go with the Voyager? Need advice comparing to "Keebart" Sofle Choc Pro and Corne Choc Pro - First splitted keyboard
I have the keebart sofle pro but without aluminium casing. I chose it instead of the voyager for the same reason, i live in germany and voyager would have costed around 420Euro and i payed 260 for keebart. I wish i payed 90 extra for the alu case to feel more premium. It is light and works very well

honestly, i'm glad the "foamed-out thock" trend is finally dying.
Everyone can like what they want :) My current preference is silents. The less noise my keyboard makes, the better. I have a Sofle with Outemu Cream Yellow (or whatever convoluted name they had) silents at work, and when I use my Iris with BSUN browns or cheapo Redragon with jailhoused blues, I'm al

Your Lily58/Corne keyboard after long run - Would you do it again?
Trying to answer your questions:- was it worth it ? 100%. Moving to split mechanical keyboard isn't something you'll regret, and you can get some for much cheaper than 200 euros.- How long was the learning curve? Honestly, much shorter than I thought. I started with a Sofle so it wasn't that disrupt

How do I make the transition to fewer keys?
I was already using a 75% keyboard, so for me the transition is probably easier. However, with layer you can easily recreate the equivalent of numpad, and assign useful symbol or shortcut to each keyi.e. letter O is also ~ and _You may need time to arrange each symbols, but the improvement is enormou

From 100% to xcmbk SoflePLUS2, LP Kailh silent tactile whale mini, FKcustom LPF, large trackpad... & switching to Ergo-L
Trackpad is fine, but still a bit awkward for me to adjust my finger speed as needed to make the best of it. I need to make more use of it and revamp my mapping to make that simpler with the sniper mode. I needed to get use to the proper double tap rythm. Accuracy is fine even without the sniper mod

First Split Keyboard - Silakka54 + BobaU4S
I have the Silakka, it's nice. Another good starter keyboard would be the Sofle. I use clicky switches but low actuation force definitely makes a difference, I like the Kailh Box Whites much more than the Cherry Blues I had before. With splits I also move my hands less, so there's less momentum to p

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome+Dev+Writing Doorstop Novels, can't pick between options
Yes, that's a sofle. It's an open source design so lots of companies make them but usually as kits so nice you found a pre built one. The SoflePLUS2 someone else linked looked amazing with an integrated track pad for a good price. As I said, my hyper mobility is only very mild so 'helped' constitute
