UNAS 2 just dropped?
These will replace the dozens of DS224+ models we have when they die, or Synology loses its mind and forces their drives to be used.

Plex streams fine but the libraries take forever to load on every device, any advice on how to fix?
i always kept the plex data folder on a ssd and currently a NVMe drive now and never really saw any lag for the interface or when opening the media compared to when it was installed on spinning drives. Try doing a database clean up and increasing the DB cache size a little (Mine is currently at 256)

PSA: The UNAS 2's "2.5GbE" NIC is a USB-attached Realtek running a 3-year-old driver, and mine just stopped negotiating gigabit
You genuinely might want to avoid Synology as well, UGreen would be my recommendation. Synology reversed their ban of third party HDD/SSD drives recently (M.2 drives are still banned) except the language they used in the press release implies they're DEFINITELY going to try again in the future.
