Which one is better?Suunto or garmin?
I believe the Suunto Nautic is almost just a dive computer, where as the Garmin descent line are dive computers and full active/sport/smart watch. I believe the Suunto Ocean would be a better comparison. Between garmin and Suunto ocean, I find the garmins to be better. I find they look better, have

Help me decide: Shearwater Peregrine vs Peregrine TX vs Suunto Ocean
The Shearwater computers are dive computers. You are only getting a dive computer. The Suunto Ocean is a dive computer + sports watch + outdoor GPS, etc. Personally, I have a watch I use for outdoor activity and a Shearwater for diving. I used to try and buy the thing that could do multiple jobs but

What “hobby” level dive computer would you recommend? Info below
I’ve dived Suunto, Oceanic, Mares, and Shearwater computers. I agree algorithm is a top consideration (wtf, Suunto?). I will say with respect to Shearwater that I’d recommend the Peregrine over the Tern. I have a Teric and a Peregrine. Quite frankly, I prefer the Peregrine for the larger display and

From spartan to race 2 dillema?
Race 2 is waterproof up to 100m it meassures the deepness correctly up to 10m and music still only has a widget like before (but a better one). Suunto Ocean is overkill as it is a certified diving computer.

Want to buy a Suunto, but a little nervous…
The advantage of Suunto is that in terms of tracking updates and developments they are honest not like Garmin which makes your device obsolete after 2 years garmin point accepted, but that's a very strange advantage to put with suunto who basically have zero comms about upcoming updates and fixes. t

Help me decide: Shearwater Peregrine vs Peregrine TX vs Suunto Ocean
You didn't read what I said. I never talked about the proprietary algorithm that Suunto used on computers like the Zoop and Vyper. I explicitly said that the Suunto Ocean uses the Bühlmann ZHL-16C + Gradient Factors: They all use the Bühlmann ZHL-16C + Gradient Factors but the Shearwater can be set

New Release Suunto Nautic Dive Computer -
My concern is the way they've worded it > Suunto Ocean is using Suunto’s Bühlmann 16 GF dive algorithm that is based on the Bühlmann ZHL-16C model that we have implemented our own code for. Have they actually disclosed if they did any tweaks to the algo itself?

What advantages are there for Garmin Descent Mk3i for a Divemaster offering exclusive/advanced dives with experienced groups?
For some reason no one comment about Suunto Ocean is that exported dive profile does not show the deco ceiling And I'm pretty sure the dive route by Suunto Ocean couldn't detect distance travelled in drift dive when you are underwater (Understandble with the limited amount of sensor/data it has).
