It was the best entry-level standard sized bed slinger for a very long time. It’s still one of the best, but it has some decent competition now, like the Anycubic Kobra X and the Creality SparkX i7

Don't get the bambu a1, its old tech and slow. If the elegoo centauri carbon 2 is too much, get the centauri 1. Thats 300 and also a better value than the a1. Otherwise, the sparkx i7 is the exact specs of an a1, but for less money, and by a less shit company. It will work great, especially for that

Kobra X will have you printing multicolor for much cheaper. It just came out and Anycubic already released the Kobra 4 to confuse buyers. The Bambu will have better customer support if you ever need it and parts are easier to get. It's a well supported machine. Creality has the SparkX i7 which you s

For you and anyone else following along: The Creality “Wiki” is your friend: https://wiki.creality.com/en/sparkx/i7 Creality really did try and make this model as easy to use as they could, but it’s still a finicky mechanical robot that benefits from a good RTFM before attempting anything. Tis the n

I'm using a cold plate for the Creality Sparkx I7. It's the same size an the C5 plate but not the same shape. Works great as long as you line it up correctly.

Everyone mentions Bambu, but I'll throw the SparkX i7 into the conversation. Mine is getting close to 1000 hours and it's been boringly reliable, which is exactly what I want from a printer. I've printed PLA, PETG, and TPU since day one, mostly using stock profiles. No major failures, no endless twe

Kobra X's major speed advantages come from multi-color prints specifically, its time to switch filament is way less and said switch produces less waste So yeah... If you have a single colour print you obviously won't see those time savings. It sounds to me like you only read a few youtube titles and

There's a deal on eBay from creality, for a SPARKX i7 Nano Combo 3D Printer w/ 4x 1kg Hyper PLA RFID Filament. For $299, after a promo code. About the same tier as a Bambu A1. The A1 Mini(not the same as A1) is cheaper but also a smaller print bed. Flashforge AD5X can also be found for ~$215.
