Airplane Vs Travel Items
I have Sony WH-1000XM4, but I find myself carrying them less and less to the point where they've been relegated to long haul international flights only. My earbuds do the noise cancelling job 80% as well, they're 80% as comfortable and 5% as large. Trade off in most instances is worth it.

Apple’s laziest upgrade yet? AirPods Max 2 vs 1 - SoundGuys
I do not recommend the XM5 as the XM4 and XM6 are better, but I do think Sony does a much better job at their sound curve with ANC on. They are close to a Harman curve with more emphasis on the bass

My broken headphones work when I order a new one. But break again once I cancel. And the cycle continues.
Yesterday, my beloved noise cancelling Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones started to have a high pitched feedback squeal and clicking in my left earcup. I've found people with the same issue and some possible solutions on Reddit, but none of them worked for me. So I ordered a new one on Amazon. And right af

noise cancelling headphones - looking for recs :)
I usually use my airpods with noise cancelling, but my neighbours are currently remodeling their home so I need something more heavy duty.
I ordered the Sony WH-1000XM4, but they feel extremely heavy on my head, the band on the top of my head is really digging in. It causes me pain during and after

Sony wh-1000xm4 noise after prolonged usage
I'm already on my second pair of Sony wh-1000xm4 headphones. I hoped that the first pair was broken but apparently the second pair has the same problem so I guess it's a structural problem. After prolonged listening sessions of more then 3 hours, the right ear cup starts to make a loud crackling/his

WH-1000XM4 stutters and is not usable on a PC, but works fine on Android.
I'm having issues with these on a Windows 10 PC, I have a bluetooth 4.0 dongle which is updated with the Windows stock Broadcom driver and works perfectly with anything I throw at it, including a set of Samsung Level On headphones. I've paired the Sony's with the PC and when playing anything it jus

Noise Cancelling Headphones?
Sorry, not an answer, but I wasted money on a top range sony model. more expensive is not always better.Be wary of the more expensive Sony models with the touch pad: like teh Sony WH-1000XM4 ( I don't have this exact model, but the touch pad is teh same thing) The noise cancelling is great. but. tha

Best ANC for a Noisy Environment
For the noise situation you describe, perhaps you should try some “white noise” played through the headphones or earbuds at low volume, to mask external distractions. I have Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones and Apple AirPods Pro 2 buds. I would say the APP2 is a bit better for ANC because of good seal in
