Had the WF-1000XM3 and when the battery crapped out on me, Sony service center just said they can't change the battery. First and last time, I'm spending that much on their wireless earbuds. These are basically disposable items. I will stick with wired earbuds if I want good quality ones that last.

How many years should I expect the wf-1000xm5 to last
I use to have the Sony WF-1000XM3 earbuds, and I used them almost daily. Unfortunately, one side started having charging issues and I got maybe two years out of them. Sony refuses to replace my defective WF-1000XM4 even with known battery fault and the string of Emails makes Sony Asia support seem so Incompentant! What Else can I do?
I've said this before and I say this again... Do Not Buy WF-1000X series. Period. It's not suitable if you planning to use many years.
