I have an 83" Sony A80L. i'm very happy with the built in speakers. would a soundbar be a big upgrade? or would i not notice much difference?
Since you like the sound of your TV, you have a great opportunity to pair it with one of Sony's soundbars that are compatible with Acoustic Center Sync! Your TV features a Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology which uses your screen as a vibrating surface to project sound directly from the center. Pair

Shield turns on 20-30 minutes after I turn it off
I also encounter this problem with an NVIDIA Shield Pro 2019. It started around mid-September. NVIDIA replaced my Shield with a brand new one, but the problem remains exactly the same. My Sony Theater 8 soundbar is directly connected to the Shield, because my TV does not support eARC. I also have a

Thinking of adding a soundbar to my BRAVIA 9—how do Sony’s models actually sound?
Sony soundbars match well with Bravia TVs not just because of the sound but also their menu integration that is added to your tv quick menu for easy changes. What to get will depends on your budget. Just the Bar alone with a somewhat all in one that you can upgrade later, I would say Sony HT-A5000 t

Looking for the best sound bar for my Bravia 7 85”
I have the HT-A7000 with the optional surround speakers, it’s expensive but I find it’s really good. I’m no audiophile though. Be careful that the soundbar supports HDMI 2.1 if you have more than one input that needs 4K 120fps. The soundbar will bottleneck you if it only has HDMI 2.0.

Which Bravia for my Living Room?
I would recommend finding a bargain on an older 85” X90L or Bravia 7. Just make the decision based on your needs: X90L or >> Bravia 7: Best Sony picture for a nice bright room, such as a living room. Excellent choice for budget conscious and value conscious purchases. It meets all the basic guidelin

Sound system for Bravia 8 II
I got the TV, but I’m still running with the HTZ9F soundbar with rear speakers from my old TV X90F. I believe my soundbar still holds up, considering the HTZ9F was one of the first Sonys introduced with Dolby Atmos. Well, you got the more advanced HT-A7000. I wanted to upgrade to HT-A5000, which you

Shield alternatives in 2025
I have a Sony a80K, shield pro (2019) and a ht-a7000 as soundbar. Is the shield connected to the soundbar or to the tv? At first I had it connected to the soundbar but that introduced delay for dolby vision and frame rate switching in plex. To solve this I connected the shield directly to the other

AVR showing twice on Bravia Sync List?
Unfortunately, that appears to be by design for some AVRs “Some devices connected to the TV may show as more that one device” “The HDMI-CEC standard supports: 1 - TV 1 - Audio system (A/V Receiver or Soundbar) Up to 3 - Playback devices Up to 3 - Recording devices Up to 4 - Tuner devices” “If you co

Any Sony Fans here ?
Not necessarily for all things audio/phile. The HT-A7000 sound bar with the subwoofer and surround speakers are actually half-way decent for casual TV watching and home theater with wireless Atmos. The only other items I have related to audio are the MDR-7506 headphones and the WF-1000XM3 wireless e
