We added two Sonos Fives (to our existing Arc and Sub) and boy are those things are worth every penny. Also added a Govee synchronized LED light kit. Great bang for your buck IMO.

That looks like a device that takes inputs from an amp or receiver and splits them into separate zones. It’s old-school and pretty outdated. It’s absolutely worth it! When you add the front L&R speakers, the system deactivates just the front L&R channels on the soundbar. All the others are still active and the outboard speakers replace those two channels. Your One SLs are perfect for the job! I have a lot of Sonos gear between two homes.

Just an update for anyone that is also considering the era 100 as fronts. I’ve moved my five pair to the gym and am using the era100s as fronts now. I’m really pleased with the 100s. They sound thinner than the fives, but a future ‘Sonos’ integration will crossover the full range that the fronts cur

From everything I’ve heard, the fives are excellent as front left / right. The only thing that is a little annoying is that Sonos is actively working on bringing this out officially and if they do there’s a chance that 300s could be a better option if they enable more than just the left / right chan
