Sonos Era 300

Sonos trying to now claim the inner firing rear surround is disabled by design - yet it was designed to sound better with them turned on.

Sonos era 300 vs HomePod second gen

Yesterday I had a listening session of the sonos era 300. It was underwhelming. Atmos content is great! It has great soundstage but the lack of bass for a speaker of this size is a total failure in my book. Especially compared to the smaller HomePod which has very deep bass and clear vocals with gre

Theater at home

Sounds better is subjective. HomePod actually does play significantly lower, which means it produces a more accurate representation of the audio, as it can reach more of the frequency range. It doesn’t mean it’s perfect or even entirely ‘accurate’, but it is definitely a fuller and more complete sou

Dual HomePods mini vs Era 300 vs Dual Era 100s for Apple TV/Infuse?

For movies in a bedroom I suggest paired set of HomePods 2. It will give you Spatial Audio/Atmos and music will sound good. Spotify still plays through airplay or AppleTV app. Sonos era 300 can compete with a paired set but that would be only music. AppleTV would send audio through airplay and would

How to play Apple Music Hi-Res (24bit/192kHZ) on KEF LS50 Wireless II from a MacBook / iPad / iPhone?

Airplay 1 does cast 16-bit/44.1Khz lossless. All KEF W2 speakers with network connectivity support this. Does Apple let you choose to use this when they also support Airplay 2? Nope. Airplay 2 is indeed fixed to 256Kbps AAC or DD+ Atmos for the Atmos audio, which is not supported by many players or

Apple is having an Al Gore moment

I have an actual hardware device meant for playing spatial audio and it was far from cheap (Sonos Era 300). And it still doesn't really work. You have to jump through a bunch of hoops to set it up and it only works with Apple Music (except you still have to use the Sonos app). Limiting my complaints

Educate me…should I be regretting my decision?

So background…I’m only 29. I recognize I have (hopefully) a lot of time to get and “end game” set up. However, I am a musician and come from a family of musicians…I appreciate good sound.

Having said that…I just spent around $2.5k on the top of the line Sonos set (Arc + Sub + Era 300’s). And…somet

Homepod 2nd Gen on 18.2 vs Sonos Era 300's - Which is better for Playing Music

Homepod not only has better sub frequencies but also better high frequencies, the homepod can reach 20khz, the era starts at about 40/50hz to 13khz or less. It only has loudness and spatiality thats why a lot of people are thinking era 300 sounds better which is absolutely not the case. Era are just

Kef Lsx II vs 2 Sonos Era 300

You will not get to experience dolby atmos from Apple Music on sonos unless you’re streaming music through Apple Music inside sonos app. As you mentioned that via airplay and through your pc or TV you won’t get dolby atmos on sonos without their soundbar. Hence I would highly recommend you to go wit

What speakers to you use at home to play Apple Music on when you don't want to wear headphones/earbuds?

KEF speakers produce higher frequencies than even my newer Sonos ERA 300’s! Hear those cymbals , percussion & strings! The LSX II LT set is on sale sometimes for around $600 at Costco online .
