Audio Soundbar Design

Ok, I work for a low voltage company that does this type of work. No matter what soundbar you are going to get, it will be thicker than the TV. Sonos Arc Ultra by itself sitting on a mantle or use a sanus bracket to mount it to the bottom of the TV. Or get the Sonos Arc Ultra and have it built into

Adding fronts

I highly recommend adding fronts. I’ve experimented with Fives, Play 3s, era 100s, and One G2s. They all sound awesome but the order I listed them is how I rank them in terms of overall sound quality. I bought the Play 3s just do the test. $140 for the pair which seems to be the going rate. I was sh

Sony Bravia 8 II 55"

Sony makes nice brackets. They are expensive but excellent. Not sure how easy they are to use with different brand tvs or even Sony models so may want to research that unless someone here knows. As others have said, Sanus makes some nice brackets too and they are less expensive than the Sonys. Sonos

Is it approved?

That said, Home Theater enthusiasts and tinkerers are welcome to spend a fortune seeking perfection with 7.1 or 7.2 or heck 11.4 or whatever you feel is optimal. But for most of us, we haven’t the time, budget, or wil

Are soundbars getting like, really good?

Sonos Arc Ultra. There are other brands just as good, but without built in streaming. Great TV speaker. Adequate without a Sub. Okay music speaker. Not as good as the same money spent on separates.

Basement TV wall build: What simple future-proofing is worth doing now?

I would absolutely consider sound essential at this scale of build out. Those tv speakers are gonna sound horrible bouncing around that space. Even a wireless soundbar + subwoofer would be an enormous improvement. I just built out my living room using a Sonos arc ultra with rear channels and it’s pr

Not great sound from stereo pair?

Same here. I’m tempted to get a Sonos Arc Ultra. I’d like them to release a new “HomePod 3” with the issues fixed. However I’m skeptical of that happening.
