For that size room and with your concerns about noise, I’d go with the Levoit Core 600. It’s oversized for the room, but that means you can run it on a lower speed (less sound) and still get the proper air changes. You can just set it to speed 2 and leave it there. Replace the filter once or twice a

Just so you know, Smart Air is sold in Canada via Darkhorse Air. However, the Smart Air SA600 has very little activated carbon and it's sold out. Hopefully more stock is on the way. I would tend to agree on the DIY or PC fan kit front. Have a look at North Box Systems (Canadian business), Nukit Temp

Purifiers aren't good at removing visible dust particles as they're large and heavy. See the sticky post at the top of the subreddit and our FAQs wiki pa

Air Doctor is fine, although if you're looking for a cost efficie

If you want to understand opposition to the Levoit, the reasons have to do mainly with the perceived differences with the importance of True HEPA, as well as the issues with the legal standing that Levoit has with respect to their True HEPA labeling. Consumer Reports and HouseFresh are independent b

I don't recognize some of the brands you listed, so I can't offer a fair assessment between them all. It's very difficult to find a purifier that offers great particulates filtration and a high capacity for removing gases/vapors/odors (including VOCs). For now, I'll just recommend a particulates pur
