Momentum 4

Just updated my Sennheiser Momentum 4 to firmware 3.35.6 and it has completely destroyed the experience for me. The headphones were perfect before this update, but now they’re honestly super irritating and almost intolerable to use.

Here’s everything I’m noticing:

Okay shoot me, but I am enjoying listening to my in ear nothing ears more than M4s! Like what? I tried fidgeting with the personalised audio and eq settings but can’t quite get the openness yet the bass pump the nothings have. I’ve tried setting the eq to +2,0,+1,+1,+2 and sound personalisation to 3

Here’s what I’ve noticed:

👉 A weird noise appears right after pausing music -- every time.

👉 On Android and MAC, there's a subtle hissing sound at volume level 1.

The faulty and UNTESTED "beta-update" was 3 days ago. It can't be that hard to roll back the update for the Momentum 4 users... every IT intern can do that.

Do you have any decency for your clients, Sennheiser?

ok so it’s me again, i’ve been waiting for the fix to this terrible update, i opened the app and i had a new firmware pop up notification, it didn’t let me update because my battery was low, so i closed the app, connected my ipad and when i opened the app again to install the update, it was nowhere

Bought Momentum 4s 2 days ago for $250 and I'm not really impressed with its sound. So, before sound personalization they sound really muffled. I decided to compare them to my Edifier W820NB which I'd bought under $30 and I couldn't really tell the difference with the stock Sennheiser sound settings

is it possible to roll it back? like can i download the old version? why is the low volume sound becomes muffled!? why is it that if i have a short sound play like a notification while nothing else plays it follows by a loud static noise? this is horible. turning anc off doesnt fix it. started right

I bought my first pair in 2021. Since then, I’ve swapped about 7 pairs for same model. Every time I have problems related to popping, crackling, sound «bleeding», bugs, you name it. I find it incredibly disappointing that the quality is so low. I have treated my headsets perfectly fine, not dropped,

TLDR: Buy different headphones. The sound is great, but the build quality and customer service suck. Not worth the savings for the headaches they will cause.
